WASHINGTON – Congressman Alex X. Mooney (WV-02) today issued the following statement on his vote against the House Democrats’ Budget Resolution:
“Today I voted against H. Con. Res. 11, the Democratic budget resolution, which will allow Speaker Pelosi and Democrats to fast-track through both chambers a $2 trillion-dollar spending bill packed with liberal priorities.
“Today’s budget resolution allows Democrats to pass along party line a massive spending bill to include $350 billion bailout for states, one-size-fits-all $1400 stimulus checks and $2 trillion in new national debt. West Virginia taxpayers should not be forced by the government to bailout poorly run blue states like New York and California,” said Congressman Alex X. Mooney.
