WASHINGTON, D.C – Congressman Alex X. Mooney voted to impeach Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas for his willful and systemic refusal to enforce the immigration laws of the United States.
The Secretary has breached the public trust by misleading Congress and the American people on numerous occasions about the consequences of his decisions and the operational realities at the border.
“I voted to impeach Secretary Mayorkas as he has been totally derelict in his duty to enforce the laws passed by Congress to secure our border. Due to his flagrant disregard for the law, America’s border is completely overrun by illegal immigrants,” said Congressman Alex X. Mooney.
