Congressman Mooney Announces Over $157k for Local Fire Departments

Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Alex X. Mooney (WV-2) announced $157,359 in grant funding from the Federal Emergency Management Administration’s (FEMA) Assistance to Firefighter Grant Program (AFG) to local fire departments in the Second Congressional District to help purchase safety gear and equipment.

“These grants are crucial in helping the local fire departments keep our communities safe.  First responders put their lives on the line every day and I am going to keep fighting for funding to make sure that they have the resources needed to be safe and to continue to save lives,” said Congressman Mooney.
