Congressman Alex X. Mooney Secures Funding for the City of Ripley

RIPLEY – Today Congressman Alex X. Mooney (WV-02) announced a $1,050,000 grant from the Section 571 Central West Virginia Environmental Infrastructure Program for infrastructure improvements for the existing sewer service. This is a Project Partnership Agreement (PPA) executed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for the City of Ripley Sanitary Sewer System Improvements Phase II Project.
 
“I was proud to work with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to help secure this important grant for Jackson County. This project will modify and upgrade the existing sewer collection system. For the City of Ripley, this grant will help improve sewer conditions to attract new businesses and job opportunities,” said Congressman Alex Mooney.
