MARTINSBURG — U.S. Congressman Alex Mooney (WV-02) held a call with members of the West Virginia Chamber of Commerce to help small businesses directly dealing with the economic impact of the coronavirus.
“Businesses, through no fault of their own, have been required to shut down by the government. I’m doing all I can to make sure we help our small businesses and keep employees on payroll. I sent a letter to Small Business Administrator Jovita Carranza and Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin to ensure we get loans to as many eligible West Virginia small businesses as possible,” said Congressman Mooney.
As a member of the Financial Services Committee, Congressman Mooney continues to work with the Trump Administration to address the economic fallout from the coronavirus to ensure the safety and soundness of the economy, small businesses and financial institutions.
Joining Congressman Mooney on the conference call was Representative Carol Miller (WV-03) and Representative Steve Chabot (OH-01), Ranking Member of the House Committee on Small Business.
