CONGRESSMAN ALEX X. MOONEY CONGRATULATES Francesca J. Domenico ON ACCEPTANCE INTO AIR FORCE ACADEMY

WASHINGTON D.C. – Today, Congressman Alex X. Mooney (WV-02) announced Francesca J. Domenico of Martinsburg has been offered acceptance into the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs. Miss Domenico was nominated by Rep. Mooney and selected for appointment by the congressman’s 2022 Service Academy Review Board for West Virginia’s Second Congressional District.

“I am pleased to nominate Domenico for the United States Air Force Academy as I know she has a strong future ahead of her. She is a nominee who represents West Virginia’s finest men and women who choose to serve our great nation,” said Rep. Alex X. Mooney. “Francesca’s unwavering respect for America is exactly why she would be an outstanding addition to the Air Force. I wish her the best of success.”

Francesca attended the Air Force Academy Prep School where she has shown her strength and readiness to attend the Air Force Academy. Her determination to be part of the Air Force Academy and live out her dreams is why she is a perfect nominee for the academy.

“The joy of being accepted into such a prestigious school has not yet hit me, but the hard work and dedication has not faded since the beginning of my journey,” said Domenico.

Nominations are based on academic merit, moral character, scholarship, leadership potential, physical aptitude, career goals and motivation. Admittance to any of our nation’s service academies is highly competitive, with a limited number of cadets accepted each year.
