WASHINGTON – Today, Congressman Alex X. Mooney (WV-02) announced $3,800 in loan and $1,000,000 in grant funding from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development for the City of Ripley to correct deficiencies at the treatment ponds.
“I’m glad these Rural Development funds will allow the City of Ripley to upgrade their wastewater treatment plant and equipment. This much needed project doesn’t only help environmentally but will also reverse the negative economic impact it has had on the business growth in this community. I’ve been in direct contact with the USDA Rural Development to help secure this critical funding for the City of Ripley,” said Congressman Mooney.
