WASHINGTON – Today, Congressman Alex X. Mooney (WV-02) announced a $64,000 grant from the United States Department of Commerce’s Economic Development Administration (EDA). This grant will support a feasibility study to create the Innovation Super Hub in Kanawha County, a designated Opportunity Zone, to help drive redevelopment and revitalization in coal communities.
“I’m glad the University of Charleston has received this EDA grant to conduct a study that will help lead to job opportunities, economic growth and investment in the region. I look forward to following the outcome of this important study,” said Congressman Mooney.
