INSTITUTE – Today, Congressman Alex X. Mooney (WV-02) announced a $552,000.00 grant for the Institute Volunteer Fire Department from U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA)’s Fiscal Year (FY) 2019 Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) program.
“I’m glad the Institute Volunteer Fire Department received this FEMA grant that will help equip firefighters and first responders with the resources to keep our communities safe through the recruitment and retention of volunteers. I commend the important work of our local volunteer firefighters, and I am pleased to have helped secure this grant,” said Congressman Mooney.
