Congressman Alex Mooney Announces $750k in Grant Funding for Randolph County Housing Authority

Today, Congressman Mooney (WV-02) welcomed $750,000 in grant funding from the U.S. Department of Labor’s Workforce Opportunity for Rural Communities (WROC) grant initiative.

This grant will allow the Randolph County Housing Authority, in collaboration with the Randolpg County Workforce Development Collaborative Board, to help address the needs of employers in three specific industries in the region (health care, wood products, and building trades) by providing training and job coaching to unemployed or underemployed residents.

“Karen and her team at the Randolph County Housing Authority and the organizations that serve on the Randolph County Workforce Development Collaborative Board are working hard to bring new opportunities and development to their county and I am excited to welcome this investment from the Department of Labor,” said Congressman Mooney.
