WASHINGTON – Today, Congressman Alex X. Mooney (WV-02) announced a $3,213,600 grant from the United States Department of Commerce’s Economic Development Administration (EDA). Through the Mid-Ohio Valley Regional Planning & Development Council, this loan fund will provide economic recovery assistance to small businesses and entrepreneurs adversely affected by COVID-19.
“I’m glad this important EDA grant will provide coronavirus relief funds and permanent resources to support economic resilience and economic development. This is part of the EDA’s Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act Recovery Assistance. In March in Congress, I voted for the CARES Act, and I’m glad to see these funds being directed towards projects and small businesses that will help grow our economy and create jobs,” said Congressman Mooney.
