WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Congressman Alex X. Mooney voted to oppose H.R. 8404, the so-called “Respect for Marriage Act.”
“I voted against H.R. 8404, the so-called “Respect for Marriage Act,” said Congressman Alex X. Mooney. “I believe this legislation will open the door for lawsuits against businesses and individuals who have a sincere religious belief that marriage is between one man and one woman.”
