WASHINGTON – Today Congressman Alex X. Mooney (WV-02) announced a $24,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program for Putnam County. This grant program will provide Putnam County with funding to prevent and control crime.

Trump urging him to relocate Federal agencies from Washington, D.C. to Opportunity Zones in the State of West Virginia. The Trump Administration issued an executive order on August 24th about relocating Federal agencies to Opportunity Zones across the country that would benefit from increased investment. Congressman Mooney took this opportunity to advocate for the State of West Virginia.
